Information about the Department for Transformation and Strategic Projects
After nearly two years of dedicated service at the Institut Pasteur, Fanny Forgeau will be leaving her role as Director for Transformation and Strategic Projects during the month of October. This decision, taken in agreement with the Institut Pasteur’s management team, reflects Fanny Forgeau’s desire to explore new professional horizons as she takes up the position of Chief Operating Officer in a biomedical company.
Fanny Forgeau demonstrated talent and determination as she spearheaded the demanding task of establishing a Department for Transformation to embark on the major organizational changes that have become necessary in view of the challenges now facing science and the ambitions of the Pasteur 2030 Strategic Plan. She carefully laid the groundwork by identifying the need to simplify the administrative burden on scientists, initiating ambitious projects for data collection and monitoring, and boosting the efficacy of project management tools. These steps established firm foundations for future changes at the Institut Pasteur.
As these changes continue to be put into practice, major transformation projects will now be led by the Senior Executive Vice-President, with a cross-cutting approach involving all departments. Working closely with the Vice-President Scientific Affairs, the Senior Executive Vice-President will be responsible for implementing changes in all the Institut Pasteur's constituent bodies, with the overarching aim of simplifying processes and facilitating collaboration between scientific departments and support staff.
