Are you interested in boosting your teams with people who can bring a new perspective and multidisciplinary skills to your research projects?

As part of a new partnership between the Institut Pasteur, Mines Paris-PSL and Paris Sciencs et Lettres University (PSL), the Department of Education is offering you the opportunity to host engineering and Master's students with skills that lend themselves to biology and health research.

There are three options:

  1. Research internship (Master's level, second year of specialist engineering studies) – partnership with Mines Paris-PSL

  2. Biomedical engineering project (first-year Master's) – partnership with PSL University

  3. Research internship (second-year Master's) – partnership with PSL University

1. Research internship (Master's level, second year of specialist engineering studies)

Partnership with Mines Paris-PSL
Host a second-year engineering student as part of the Trimestre Recherche R-Santé.
Projects for the internship should focus on a research issue applied to health, linked with disciplines such as physics, chemistry, materials, mechanics, mathematics, bioinformatics or management science.

Laboratory visits can be organized with these students at the end of November 2026.

Internship period: from December 9, 2026 to February 13, 2027 (excluding school holidays, with a half-day off a week).

Note: no internship allowance needs to be provided.

To propose an internship topic, fill out this form and send it to minespsl-internships@pasteur.fr.

Submission deadline for proposals: September 7, 2026

2. Biomedical engineering project (first-year Master's)

Partnership with PSL University
Set a challenge for first-year students on the Master's in Science and Technology for Health (ST4Health, 2027-2028 intake), specializing in AI in Digital Health, Biomaterials and Engineering for Health, or Digital Mental Health, by asking them to resolve a scientific problem related to your lab.

Throughout the first year of their Master's, the students will work in groups on your project:

  • in the first semester, they will analyze the problem and identify the scientific questions that need to be resolved,

  • in the second semester, they will put forward possible solutions and scientific answers.

You will work alongside them as a mentor throughout the year and benefit from a new perspective on your scientific problem. A non-disclosure clause will be signed to protect your intellectual property.

To propose a project, fill out this form and send it to minespsl-internships@pasteur.fr.

Submission deadline for proposals: September 7, 2026

3. Research internship (second-year Master's)

Partnership with PSL University
Host a second-year student on the Master's in Science and Technology for Health (ST4Health) for a six-month research internship.

The students have varied backgrounds (engineering, physics, chemistry, biology, medicine and pharmacy), and most wish to pursue their studies with a research and development PhD, including via the CIFRE scheme.

To propose an internship, fill out the form corresponding to your preferred specialization:

  • AI in Digital Health
  • Biomaterials and Engineering for Health
  • Digital Mental Health

Completed forms should be sent tominespsl-internships@pasteur.fr.

Submission deadline for proposals: September 7, 2026
