Hack Ageing on October 6: places are still available!
Scientific Priority 4 (Health and disease at the extremes of life) of the Pasteur 2030 strategic plan is organizing a one-day ageing hackathon at the Institut Pasteur on Tuesday October 6, from 9.30am to 5pm, in the canteen modules (1-2-3).

This call is specifically aimed at PhD students, postdoctoral fellows, and early-career researchers or engineers (hired after January 1, 2020), with a focus on those who are not yet group leaders and who are interested in ageing research and interdisciplinary collaboration.
We would particularly like to see PhD students and postdocs who have arrived recently!
• Why now?
Ageing is one of the areas the Institut Pasteur is actively expanding under the 2030 strategic plan, and Scientific Priority 4 exists for this purpose. In practice, this means that exceptional projects emerging from this day could directly lead to Institut Pasteur philanthropic funding calls and grant-writing support from DARRI.
• What is the schedule for the day?
You arrive in the morning and join a small team. You then spend the day turning a question about ageing into something you can present in eight minutes at the end of the afternoon. Lunch is provided. You leave at 5pm.
• What you need to bring?
Nothing! No prior ideas, no preparation, no programming. Ageing spans immunology, neuroscience, microbiology, cell biology and computational work, so your own subject is a perfectly good starting point!
• Who is there with you?
Chiara Zurzolo, Darragh Duffy and Ana Cumano for scientific rigor and feasibility, Maoussi Lhuillier-Akakpo (Head of the AI Division, Bioinformatics Hub) for data and tools, and Shauna Katz and JongEun Ihm from DARRI for funding and project translation. They will rotate between the teams and work with you directly throughout the day!

This will offer participants a relaxed and informal setting to meet each other and share their initial ideas.
