20km de Paris: and they're off to support the Pasteurdon and research!
Faithful to a fixture on the Institut Pasteur calendar for 18 years now, 73 runners will be setting off on the 20km de Paris course this Sunday, October 11!
From passionate road runners to casual weekend joggers and brand-new recruits to the team, they will form a unique sporting collective with one and the same goal: to fly the colors of the Pasteurdon high and shine a spotlight on Pasteur research in the heart of the capital.
Pasteur T-shirts and race bibs from the 2026 campaign will be their rallying signs and means of identification along the course. Feel free to come and cheer them on all along the 20km, or to follow the race from afar on the Institut Pasteur's social media.
To do so, head over to the Institut Pasteur's Instagram account, which will be covering this event that blends, edition after edition, sport and generosity!

A first: a "Pasteur joëlette team" is in the starting blocks!
A small team of Pasteur staff members has been invited by the organizers of the 20km de Paris to take part in the October 11 event by taking turns pushing a joëlette in relay, to raise awareness of the pediatric condition known as brainstem glioma.
After several training sessions, and supported by expert runners, Julia Chamot-Rooke, Benoît Chassaing, Nathalie Denoyés, Quentin Lamy-Besnier, Marc Lavigne, Mallory Perrin-Wolff, and Timothy Wai will therefore be making an unprecedented start this Sunday, running in relay and pushing the joëlette in which Ofélia Vieira will be seated.

This 10-year-old passenger, whose parents work at the Institut Pasteur, has already taken part in the "Marathon pour tous" at the Paris 2024 Olympic Games and is regional champion of the young athletes' challenge organized by the Fédération française handisport. It is a discipline she is particularly fond of, which is why she said yes right away to joining the Team Pasteur she met on campus a few weeks ago!

BIP will be sure to bring you the next chapter of this unprecedented sporting and human adventure!
Share the fundraising page for the Pasteurdon
This year, solidarity is also running through the ranks of the Pasteur runners—men and women alike—eager to blend the values of sport with those of research and generosity. They have indeed set up a fundraising page, using this solidarity channel to raise awareness as widely as possible among their networks (family, friends, professional circles, and beyond) about the stakes of research and the health challenges that each and every one of us may one day face.
This year, this community brings together more than 120 women and men from Pasteur who have already (during La Parisienne) taken, or will soon take, the starting line of their respective races. In the colors and hues of the Pasteurdon, they will be the very best flag-bearers and ambassadors for the campaign.
To support and encourage them before and during the race ahead, feel free to share this fundraising page—a true showcase of Pasteur-style sporting generosity!
