Reminder – 2026 call for applications for the Canetti and Ágnes Ullmann Prizes and the Institut Pasteur Young Scientist Award (IPYSA) until September 11
Each year, the Institut Pasteur gives a number of prizes to scientists who have made a major contribution to research.
Each prize has its own eligibility criteria. The winners are selected by an ad hoc scientific committee, with the final selection subject to the approval of the Institut Pasteur President.
This call for nominations is for the following three prizes:
• The Georges, Jacques and Elias Canetti Prize goes to a permanent scientist (IP or OREX) whose research has made an innovative contribution to the field of infectious diseases.
• The Ágnes Ullmann Prize is awarded each year to two scientists (one male and one female, aged under 45) for their outstanding contribution to research in life sciences carried out in an Institut Pasteur laboratory in the field of molecular biology or microbiology.
• The Institut Pasteur Young Scientist Award (IPYSA) recognizes the remarkable contributions of a PhD student and a postdoctoral fellow who were first authors of high-level research papers published or accepted for publication in 2023.
Deadline for applications for the three prizes: September 11, 2026
