2026 Scientific Days: bringing together the members of an institute committed to hearing health
On March 17 and 18, 2026, the reConnect Institute hosted the second edition of the Scientific Days, now an annual fixture in the calendar for all staff.
The event strengthens the shared identity of the reConnect Institute.
These two days confirmed the unique dynamic of the reConnect Institute: a committed, open community driven by a shared ambition.
The 2026 Scientific Days and Early Career Researcher Day showcased new breakthroughs, strengthened interdisciplinarity between working groups and fostered collective enthusiasm, which will be crucial in tackling future scientific and medical challenges.
The program on the first day was an opportunity to look back at the highlights of the past year, which include the arrival of new scientists and contributors, the integration of new clinical teams, the opening of a refurbished space in Lariboisière Hospital, and the preparation of annual reports and assessment reports.
A second day for early career researchers
On March 18, the focus was on the institute's early career scientists. This day was carefully planned to strengthen the expertise, confidence and cohesion of the next generation of reConnect scientists and clinicians.
A series of quizzes, masterclasses, role plays and informal discussions provided opportunities to foster new links, develop confidence among early career scientists in their research and encourage dialog with more experienced speakers – all of which will help build the research community of tomorrow. The aim was also to identify links and build bridges between different research teams and fields, and this goal was 100% achieved!
A retrospective video of the Early Career Researcher Day will soon be available on the reConnect website and LinkedIn account as a reminder of the scientific vitality created by the event.
