A new, more visible home for the RegenBox
Good news for the planet... and for you! On June 25, the RegenBox was moved from the hall in the François Jacob building to the exit of the canteen, by the tray return area.
Why the move?
We wanted to make the RegenBox more visible, accessible and easy to use on a daily basis by putting it in a place where more people pass through.
Reminder
The RegenBox is an innovative station for testing, regenerating and collecting disposable alkaline batteries. Up to 60-70% of batteries that are thrown away can still be used. The RegenBox gives them multiple lives, thereby reducing waste and our carbon footprint.
What you get out of it
• Less waste, lower environmental impact
• More batteries regenerated rather than being thrown away
• A simple, practical thing that everyone on campus can do to contribute to sustainability at the Institut Pasteur
Where is it now?
At the exit to the canteen, just after the tray return area – a strategic spot to encourage you to think about your batteries every day without having to make a special trip.
Every little helps when it comes to the green transition. Don't forget when you next pass by the canteen!
