World Food Day at the Institut Pasteur – come along on October 16
To mark World Food Day on October 16, the Institut Pasteur is organizing an event focused on healthy, sustainable, responsible eating. This is an opportunity for all staff to meet and chat to the new service providers for the Institut Pasteur's restaurants and engage in a variety of activities. Come along at 11.30am in front of the canteen.
The event is organized by the CSR Department and the Food section in the GreenTeam, with the support of the Consortium of Organic Farmers in Greater Paris (GAB IdF) and the NGO Altrimenti.
Aim: to raise awareness about the environmental and health challenges related to food, while also highlighting the initiatives in place on campus.
Program, starting at 11.30am in front of the canteen:
Anti-waste workshop with the Altrimenti organization: tastings, zero-waste recipes and tips on keeping food for longer.
Stand run by the Consortium of Organic Farmers in Greater Paris: meeting local producers and tastings of organic products.
Culinary activities and tastings by our service providers Foodles and API (vegetarian recipes, balanced dishes) in the food outlets on campus. You will also have the chance to meet representatives from Foodles and API in the greenhouse at 1.15pm.
CSR and GreenTeam Food stand: information and commitments to more sustainable food on campus.
Workshop on reducing packaging and guide to composting with the Waste Management and Recycling Department.
Come along at lunchtime on October 16 to discover, taste, learn and discuss best food practices.
