Becoming fluent in OMICs for wet lab researchers

Are you a wet-lab researcher navigating from bench to data? Join us for the new training Becoming fluent in OMICs for wet lab researchers, a five-day course (face-to-face training), designed to demystify the computational side of modern biology without turning you into a full-time bioinformatician.

Tailored specifically for researchers who are generating, handling, or simply preparing for OMICs data, this hands-on program explores the fundamentals of bulk and single-cell technologies -- with emphasis on epigenomics, transcriptomics, and proteomics -- while walking you through sample sheets, raw files, standard data formats, and critical quality metrics.

With only basic RStudio skills required (familiarity with the interface, installing packages, and running scripts), you will gain practical intuition for large-scale data quantification and comparison, learn how to move from raw counts to differential analysis and biomarker identification, choose the right functional annotation and pathway enrichment strategies for your specific organism and omics data type.  You will also explore data visualizations ranging from heatmaps and clustering to PCAs and UMAPs. You will also explore data visualizations ranging from heatmaps and clustering to PCAs and UMAPs.

Save the dates : September 24–25 & 28, October 1–2, 2026 (in English)
