Save the date for two in-person training sessions: "Collecting data with REDCap" and "Script versioning with Git"
- In-person training: Collecting data with REDCap, March 12-13, 2026
REDCap (Research Electronic Data Capture) is a data capture system for designing databases for clinical and translational research. An in-person training session offering an introduction to REDCap will be held on March 12-13, 2026 (9.30am – 5.30pm).
Aims of the training:
- Best data management practices with REDCap
- Creating data entry forms
- Managing user rights
- Exporting data
- Quality control
This training course is aimed at anyone wanting to learn the basics on how to design an eCRF using REDCap.
It will take place in person at the Institut Pasteur and will be taught in French.

- Git in-person training: Version control with Git, Tuesday, March 24th, 2026 (9.30am-12pm and 1-5pm)
Git is a free and open source distributed version control system designed to handle everything from small to very large projects with speed and efficiency.
Main objective: Understanding the basic git management model and learning how to use it for managing your own projects.
The training addresses the following subjects:
• Working with local and remote repositories.
• Creating and managing branches.
• Sharing your repository on the internal GitLab platform and team work.
The training is for anyone who would like to learn the basics of git, and it will be given in English.
The training will take place at the Institut Pasteur in-person from 9.30am to 5pm with a lunch break from 12pm to 1pm.
