Support for Institut Pasteur staff: participatory workshops and training sessions on remote working

Since November, a number of support and personal development initiatives have been introduced to help all staff cope with the current circumstances as best as possible. The newsletter team is pleased to announce that further sessions have been scheduled and are now open for registration.

  • Share your thoughts and feelings about the current period: take part in the participatory workshops run by the CNAM or The Recess College

►Open to all: participatory workshops led by speakers from the CNAM

- The period we are currently living through has had a huge impact on our lives and working practices. The Institut Pasteur has developed a partnership with the French National Conservatory of Arts and Trades (CNAM) to help guide you through these changes. The Department of Scientific Affairs and the Human Resources Department are running a first series of pilot workshops looking at the meaning of work, to give you the opportunity to share your thoughts on this topic and talk to others.

- These remote workshops, open to all, are composed of three two-hour modules (in French). They will take place on March 2, 9 and 16 from 3 to 5pm.
You can register via Talentsoft; search for "Ateliers d'échanges et de développement du sens du travail" via the training catalog search engine

►For Master's and PhD students and post-doctoral fellows: "Reflective meetings: Well-being journey" are groups for reflection and discussion about the challenges associated with COVID-19, led by The Recess College.

- The sessions will give you the opportunity to talk about what motivates you, your career path and your work-life balance and will provide pointers based on the resilience model.

- The program consists of 4 two-hour workshops (in English). Participants must attend all three sessions

- The workshops will take place remotely, from 5 to 7pm, on the following dates:
>Monday March 1, from 5 to 7pm (Dealing with current reality)
>Wednesday March 10, from 5 to 7pm (Skills and Resilience at work)
>Thursday March 18, from 5 to 7pm (Review)
>Thursday March 25, from 5 to 7pm (Engaging and Action)

You can sign up via Talentsoft; search for "Reflective meetings: Well-being journey (Master's/PhD/postdocs)" in the training catalog search engine

  • Training on remote working practices: additional dates to sign up for practical modules

In response to the current circumstances, a series of practical half-day training modules were introduced in late 2020 and early 2021 to improve remote working practices and remote team working. Given the success of these modules, the Training Center is now offering new online sessions.
