Bulletin interne de l'Institut Pasteur
An INCEPTION symposium will be held over a day and a half on November 25 and 26, 2021 at the Institut Pasteur - Paris.
This international symposium is part of an effort at the Institut Pasteur to integrate the social sciences by fostering dialog between specific social science disciplines and biomedical researchers with diverse approaches. To that end, we are inviting young researchers in the fields of health economics, quantitative sociology, social psychology, health policy, political sciences and related fields to present talks and engage in discussions around social sciences contributions to our understanding of health and illness. Although the symposium will focus broadly on COVID-19 response and recovery, innovative social sciences studies that engage in dialog with other health issues are welcome.
Presentations can address the short-and longer term economic, psychosocial, health systems, and political determinants and consequences of the COVID-19 pandemic and of multi-scale efforts for recovery. Presentations on the prevention and care of other health issues can also be proposed. Attention to various forms of inequality and inequity are particularly welcome. Because they are designed to spark cross disciplinary dialogue, papers should speak to the researcher’s own discipline and be understandable by those from other disciplines.
Abstracts (350 words maximum) should be submitted by July 15, 2021 at maha.david@pasteur.fr,with your name, position and institution. You will receive an e-mail confirmation within two days. Abstracts will be evaluated by a review committee.
