Changing COVID-19 epidemic situation: updated scenarios for the easing of restrictions
Scientists from the Mathematical Modeling of Infectious Diseases Unit at the Institut Pasteur have used mathematical models to generate various scenarios describing the possible development of the epidemic up to the summer, considering various hypotheses regarding the impact of the current restrictions, the pace at which the measures will be eased, and vaccination.
On May 22, the team updated its scenarios related to the easing of restrictive measures. This update takes account of the accelerated decline in the epidemic and the faster pace of vaccination observed in recent weeks, as well as the timetable for lifting restrictions announced by the French government.
