Symposium on the Institut Pasteur's scientific prospects for 2025

In the context of very rapid evolutions of science, medicine and public health, the Institut Pasteur has initiated in 2014 a strategic plan to reinforce its ambition and leadership while maintaining its specific positioning in research.

This plan has set up priorities, focusing on scientists, on an interdisciplinary scientific vision, on reinforcing the international network of the Institut Pasteur, on reorganization of research to enforce synergies, as well as on innovation and technological transfer.

Yet, given the constant and very rapid progress and changes in science, medicine and public health, it is important to update and get a forward look at the future of the institute. With this goal, several working groups have been initiated over the past year to delineate the priorities which should drive the development of the Institut Pasteur.

In this context, a symposium will be hold on Friday February 3, from 9.30am to 5.30pm in the Emile Duclaux’s hall. The aim of this day, which will take place in English, is to discuss all together the Institut Pasteur's scientific prospects for 2025. It will be a unique opportunity to discuss the future of the institute and the science that is carried out here.

You can consult the program for the day here. This program was put together in cooperation with members of the Board of Scientific Advisors, members of the Scientific Council and department heads. It goes without saying that the program does not aim to cover all the Institut Pasteur's research topics; a second symposium will therefore be organized during 2017.

This meeting, open to all scientists on campus, will consist of scientific presentations and open discussion sessions that will enable to develop a framework in which plans can be made for the scientific future of the institute.

Hope to see lots of you there!

The symposium will be followed by a cocktail reception.
