Four Institut Pasteur scientists receive the 2021 Rising Talents France Award as part of the L'Oréal-UNESCO For Women in Science program

On October 7, 2021, four Institut Pasteur scientists received the 2021 Rising Talents France Award as part of the L'Oréal-UNESCO For Women in Science program.

The winners, three PhD students and one post-doctoral fellow, are helping to advance scientific knowledge with their research in the following fields: immunotherapy to treat cancer, mosquito-borne viral transmission, preventing chronic disease, and mathematical and statistical modeling of infectious diseases.

Morgane Boulch – Developing immunotherapy for cancer
Gladys Gutierrez-Bugallo – Defining mosquito-borne virus transmission modes in Cuba
Marion Rincel – Preventing the development of chronic diseases
Cécile Tran Kiem – Developing mathematical and statistical approaches for studying the COVID-19 pandemic in France

The award, which recognizes the achievements of around thirty young female scientists each year, will boost the visibility of the Institut Pasteur's talented researchers, and all the laureates will receive a grant to help them pursue their research.
