At its session on October 15, 2021, the Board of Governors appointed Jean-Pierre Vartanian as Director of the Department of Virology (024900) from November 1, 2021 to December 31, 2023.

- New Human Disease Models Core Facility
The Human Disease Models Core Facility (Plateforme modèles de pathologies humaines) was set up on September 1, 2021 in the Center for Animal Resources and Research (C2RA).
The core facility is led by Mathilde Dusseaux, an Expert Research Engineer at the Institut Pasteur.
