Bulletin interne de l'Institut Pasteur
Following the launch of the paper version of the 2022 Institut Pasteur New Year card last week, the digital version of the card, and social network banners, are now available for your use.
This year’s e-card employs an animated gif to make it more engaging for the recipient. As in years past, the gif will be placed in the body of your email, where you can also add a personal message.
When clicked, the gif will go to a 2022 New Year’s greetings video.
Since software systems and internet browsers are constantly in evolution, gifs do not always animate as expected. The e-card gif was designed to function both in its animated and static forms. So, if the gif does not animate in your email, rest assured that the card will otherwise function. You should still include the gif and its link to the New Year’s video. To minimize environmental impact, we have reduced the file size of the gif as much as possible. The result is a joyful greeting that boasts a file size of less than one mega.
To send your greetings by email, follow these simple steps:
In Microsoft Outlook for PCs (incompatible with Macs):
1. Download the message template
2. Open the template in Microsoft Outlook and personalize the message.
In another email application or with a Mac:
1. Download this animated gif (zip file)
2. Paste it into a blank message in your email application and add this link.
Social media banners For the first time, this year you can share both your New Year’s greetings and your Pasteurian spirit by using the 2022 banners on your social media accounts.

How to order your paper greetings cards
The cards cost €1 each. Each unit should make an order for their staff. The cards are square this year and each card will come complete with a suitably sized envelope. To reduce the environmental impact, the cards will not be wrapped in plastic film. To order your cards, please send an email to cartedevoeux@pasteur.fr with the following details:
your employee number,
the number of cards you wish to order,
the last/first name and campus location of the person they should be delivered to,
the name and code of the unit, so that an invoice can be drawn up.
You will receive your New Year’s cards by internal mail.
