New password management policy for IT accounts

All users will need to change their password. Starting next week all passwords will have an expiry date and need to meet certain complexity criteria to comply with good security practices.

Following the update to the PasteurID IT account management system, the Information Systems Department introduced a new password management policy for IT accounts based on the following regulatory requirements:

• Introduction of restrictions regarding the complexity of passwords,

• Logging of passwords to prevent users reusing former passwords,

• Requirement to change passwords for all IT accounts on an annual basis.

Over the next few weeks you will receive an email asking you to change your password so that it complies with these new regulations. To avoid any confusion with fraudulent messages, please note that these emails will be sent from the address pasteurid@pasteur.fr and the subject heading will begin [PasteurID].
