Organization of the Institut Pasteur management: message from Stewart Cole

"Dear all,

To boost our collective efficacy and facilitate decision-making, I have decided to make various changes to the way in which the Institut Pasteur management is organized.

1.    The Technology Transfer and Industrial Partnership Department (DARRI) will now report directly to the President.

2.    The title of Senior Executive Vice-President Administration and Finance has been changed to Senior Executive Vice-President.

The Department of Financial Affairs, the Department of Legal Affairs, the Human Resources Department, the Technical Resources and Environment Department, the Information Systems Department and the Department for Internal Audit and Control report to the Senior Executive Vice-President. The directors of these departments are members of the Senior Management Board (CODIR).

The Delegation for Safety and Security also reports to the Senior Executive Vice-President.

The DARRI, Department of International Affairs, Philanthropy Department and Department of Communications – Scientific Outreach report to the Senior Executive Vice-President for operational matters.

All official or strategic legal instruments and documents that are subject to signature by the President will be submitted for prior signature by the Senior Executive Vice-President.

3.    The title of Medical Research Director has been changed to Medical Director.  

4.    The title of Scientific Director has been changed to Senior Executive Scientific Vice-President.

The Scientific Careers and Assessment Department, the Department of Education, the Medical Department and the Department of Technology report to the Senior Executive Scientific Vice-President. The directors of these departments are members of the Senior Management Board (CODIR).

The Scientific Secretariat General and the Department for Scientific Programming and Incentive Actions also report to the Senior Executive Scientific Vice-President.

5.    The Executive Board (COMEX) is composed of the President, the Senior Executive Vice-President, the Senior Executive Scientific Vice-President, the Vice-President of the DARRI, the Vice-President of Philanthropy, the Vice-President Communications – Scientific Outreach, the Vice-President International Affairs and the Chief of Staff to the President

The measures outlined above came into force on January 1, 2022.

I would like to reiterate my confidence in all the members of the Senior Management Board and thank each and every one of them for their commitment to the Institut Pasteur.
