Continuing education on campus: Cytometry, UNIX, reproducibility, Python, single-cell, PRISM, histology, statistics, R & Biology for non-biologists

As part of the Institut Pasteur's efforts to provide continuing education opportunities on campus and in connection with the Skills Development Plan, several training courses are available between April and December 2022.

These courses are open to Institut Pasteur staff and OREX employees; registration fees are covered by the HR Skills Development Plan:

− FlowJo Initiation (in French): September 29, 2022 (6 hrs.)
− FlowJo Initiation (in English): April 21 or October 20, 2022 (6 hrs.)
− FlowJo Plugins (in English): June 30 or December 8, 2022 (6 hrs.)

• The Basics of Cytometry (in French) – theory (4 mornings, Teams) and practical (3 half-days) – June 20-24, 2022 (14 hrs.)

• UNIX (Teams): teaching in the morning, semi-independent learning in the afternoon (in French)

− Advanced UNIX: May 11-13, 2022

• Best practices for reproducible bioinformatics data (in English)
− May 23-24 & 30-31, 2022 (28 hrs.)

• Introduction to Python for biologists (in French)

• Scientific Python (advanced) (in English)
− September 19-21, September 26 & September 30, 2022 (35 hrs.)

• Single-cell gene expression & beyond (in English)
− June 30, July 1 & July 4-6, 2022 (35 hrs.)

• Introduction to GraphPad-PRISM (in French)
− September 7-8, 2022 (14 hrs.)

• Introduction to the basics of Histology & Immunostaining : theory part (in English)

− September 12-15, 2022 (17 hrs. 30)

• Basic statistics (in French)
− September 27-29, 2022 (21 hrs.)

• Getting started in R (in French)
− October 3-4, October 6-7 & October 14, 2022 (35 hrs.)

• Biology for Non-Biologists (BNB): for members of research support departments and research unit assistants (in French)
− 5 Tuesdays or 5 Thursdays from September 13 to October 13, 2022 (35 hrs.).
There are 5 spaces left for Thursdays and you have the option of being placed on the waiting list for Tuesdays.
