• Creation of the Bioorganic Chemistry of Nucleic Acids Unit
The Bioorganic Chemistry of Nucleic Acids five-year group (024217), led by Marcel Hollenstein, came to the end of its term and was closed on March 31, 2022.
A new proposal was submitted and received a favorable opinion from the Scientific Council in December 2021 and the Board of Governors in March 2022, resulting in the creation of the Bioorganic Chemistry of Nucleic Acids (Chimie bioorganique des acides nucléiques) Unit on April 1, 2022.
This unit is part of the Department of Structural Biology and Chemistry and will be led by Marcel Hollenstein, an Expert Research Associate at the Institut Pasteur.
The first five-year term of the unit will run through to March 31, 2027.

• Creation of the Statistical Genetics Unit
The Statistical Genetics five-year group (021420), led by Hugues Aschard, came to the end of its term and was closed on March 31, 2022.
A new proposal was submitted and received a favorable opinion from the Scientific Council in December 2021 and the Board of Governors in March 2022, resulting in the creation of the Statistical Genetics (Génétique Statistique) Unit on April 1, 2022.
This unit is part of the Department of Computational Biology and will be led by Hugues Aschard, an Expert Research Associate at the Institut Pasteur.
The first five-year term of the unit will run through to March 31, 2027.

• Creation of the Immunology of Fungal Infections Unit
The Immunology of Fungal Infections five-year group (025101), led by Jessica Quintin, came to the end of its term and was closed on March 31, 2022.
A new proposal was submitted and received a favorable opinion from the Scientific Council in December 2021 and the Board of Governors in March 2022, resulting in the creation of the Immunology of Fungal Infections (Immunologie des infections fongiques) Unit on April 1, 2022.
This unit is part of the Department of Mycology and will be led by Jessica Quintin, an Expert Research Associate at the Institut Pasteur.
The first five-year term of the unit will run through to March 31, 2027.

The Chromatin and Infection five-year group (024018), led by Mélanie Hamon, came to the end of its term and was closed on March 31, 2022.
A new proposal was submitted and received a favorable opinion from the Scientific Council in December 2021 and the Board of Governors in March 2022, resulting in the creation of the Chromatin and Infection (Chromatine et infection) Unit on April 1, 2022.
This unit is part of the Department of Cell Biology and Infection and will be directed by Mélanie Hamon, a Director of Research at the Institut Pasteur.
The first five-year term of the unit will run through to March 31, 2027.

• Creation of the Cellular Plasticity in Age-Related Pathologies Unit
The Cellular Plasticity and Disease Modeling five-year group (024120), led by Han Li, came to the end of its term and was closed on March 31, 2022.
A new proposal was submitted and received a favorable opinion from the Scientific Council in December 2021 and the Board of Governors in March 2022, resulting in the creation of the Cellular Plasticity in Age-Related Pathologies (Plasticité cellulaire dans les pathologies liées à l'âge) Unit on April 1, 2022.
This unit, part of the Department of Developmental and Stem Cell Biology, will be led by Han Li, an Expert Research Associate at the Institut Pasteur.
The first five-year term of the unit will run through to March 31, 2027.
