Bulletin interne de l'Institut Pasteur
The Bioinformatics and Biostatistics Hub offers bioinformatics courses dedicated primarily to first-year PhD students at the institute.
In the age of Big Data and computational biology, it is crucial to give young biology researchers the foundations of reproducible research: from the design of optimal experiments giving reliable and robust results, to the analysis of their own data in autonomy, while at the same time getting to know the bioinformaticians and statisticians on campus.Since 2017, priority has been given to the enrolment of PhD students from the Institut Pasteur and the ANR INCEPTION partners
Courses are organized into modules that last from three hours to three days full time.
Most courses are in English (except the first session of "R and Statistics" in French) and will begin with a one day mandatory Common Core module for all PhD students. The first session will be on October 21 and will take place in the Retrovirus room of the Lwoff building. The second session will be on February 17, 2023, during the whole day, in the Retrovirus room of the Lwoff building. This first mandatory module will allow students to register for course modules corresponding to their background and needs. No registration is required to attend this common core day.
