Information and reminder about wearing your badge

On your first day at the Institut Pasteur, you received your personal badge and a flyer setting out the security guidelines on campus.

We would like to remind you of the main rules that need to be observed regarding your Institut Pasteur badge:

•    Your badge is personal

Your badge is for your personal use only; you must not lend it to anyone else or use it to help someone access a controlled area on campus. The duration of contracts and permissions may change, and even if you know the person, they may have been refused access for a good reason.

If you are unsure, please go to reception at no. 25.

If one of your colleagues has forgotten their badge, they will be given a printed badge and will still be able to access the restaurants on campus.

•    Show your badge on campus but not off site

When you are on site, your badge should be visible. Security officers may ask you to show it at any time if necessary.

But once you leave the Institut Pasteur campus, you should hide your badge, especially if you have a lanyard with the Institut Pasteur logo (the badge and lanyard that we provide are not identifiable as belonging to the Institut Pasteur). A person with malicious intent could steal it from you and access the site before you have a chance to report the theft.

•    Returning your badge

When you reach the end of your contract, your badge must be returned to reception at no. 25 to be destroyed.

Here is a photo of an Institut Pasteur badge as a reminder.
