Bulletin interne de l'Institut Pasteur
The plan to establish a research center on vector-borne diseases (the CMTV project) was launched under the Institut Pasteur's 2019-2023 Strategic Plan.
The aim of the CMTV is to increase the impact of the Institut Pasteur, and France more broadly, in the response to future emerging vector-borne diseases, by bringing together the main teams working in this field on campus in a new building with state-of-the-art technological capabilities (also accessible to other staff on campus), developed in line with the latest environmental standards. The new building will also offer a series of versatile spaces for all staff on campus.
The research center on vector-borne diseases, due to open in 2028, will facilitate collaboration between different teams.
The newsletter team takes a look back at the information session on the future center held on October 6.
After an introduction by Stewart Cole, President of the Institut Pasteur, Anna Kehres, head of the CMTV project, and scientific coordinator Philippe Bastin, the various speakers presented the context of the project, the main focus areas, key milestones and highlights.
The presentation, via MS Teams, was followed by an opportunity for participants to ask the speakers questions.
