Bulletin interne de l'Institut Pasteur
Just under a year ago, the Technical Department and Citech joined forces to offer campus scientists advanced prototyping capabilities via the creation of a Fab Lab (fabrication laboratory) offering a variety of services. The aim of this new facility is to help you with the design and production of your projects and provide access to prototyping facilities (3D printer, CNC and CAD).
Since it was set up, the Fab Lab accompanies several projects. In October it will be running two theme days in cooperation with the "Prototypes and controlling peripherals" group in the RT-MFM network to present some creations and prototypes for innovative scientific instruments.
A series of talks and pitches (including presentations and feedback) and a number of stands will showcase scientific tools, protocols and techniques developed using prototyping technologies, together with innovative approaches and solutions applied to the fields of medicine and biology.
This unique event will take place on Wednesday October 11 from 1 to 6pm and on Thursday October 12 from 9am to 1pm, in the François Jacob lecture hall.
To attend in the theme days, please sign up (the event is free but registration is required) by emailing albane.imbert@pasteur.fr.
