From September 2015 to February 19, 2016, the media library will be visiting a different building on campus every Friday from 12 noon to 2pm to explain about its services, answer any questions and get to know you better!

 

Its next port of call will be the entrance hall of the Lwoff building, on Friday, October 2, 2015, from 12 noon to 2pm.

  • Seminar "F1000: a new way of discovering, writing and sharing science"

 

f1000_logo_big.png The science media library is pleased to invite you to the "F1000: a new way of discovering, writing and sharing science" seminar, hosted in conjunction with the Institut Pasteur Neuroscience Department in the François Jacob auditorium on Friday October 2, 2015, from 2 to 3pm. The seminar will be chaired by Maaike Pols, PhD (Cell biology), Scientific Outreach Executive (Faculty of 1000).

 

Faculty of 1000 (F1000) is a service provider aiming to support life scientists and clinical researchers and to improve transparency and reproducibility in science. It has just launched the F1000 Workspace software offering tools to help researchers write, discover and share science.

 

F1000 is available throughout the Institut Pasteur campus via science media library subscriptions.

  • Training : EndNote

 

endnote_logo.png The science media library will be running Endnote training sessions on Monday October 5, from 2 to 5pm (for French speakers) in room 28-01-01C, and on Thursday October 8, from 2 to 5pm (en English, for non-French speakers) in room 26-04-17B.

 

Come and discover (or rediscover) EndNote and save time on your bibliographies.

The session is a mixture of theory and practical hands-on training during which you can learn how to import references from databases, create and manage reference files, insert citations into a text and format a bibliography with the latest version of EndNote.

Don't stress – just sign up for the training session!

 

These training sessions are open to all and held in the François Jacob building.
