The aim of the Sorbonne University – Institut Pasteur doctoral program is to strengthen research collaboration between the two institutions in all disciplines. The program will provide a framework for existing collaboration or projects under development in life sciences and biomedical research, and will also offer a basis for future interdisciplinary collaboration between biology and fields including physics, chemistry (e.g. chemobiology), mathematics (e.g. modeling), computer science (e.g. artificial intelligence) and humanities.
Eligibility conditions for the 2024 call for proposals
1. The doctoral research proposal must include a research team from the Institut Pasteur and Sorbonne University;
2. The main supervisor (i.e. the partner who submits the doctoral proposal) must be affiliated with a Sorbonne University Doctoral School in any discipline;
3. Collaboration may involve any team at the Institut Pasteur, including those that are not affiliated with a Sorbonne University Doctoral School, in which case the main supervisor must be the Sorbonne University partner.

• Launch of the call for proposals: February 26, 2024
• Deadline for submission of project proposals: April 30, 2024
• Deadline for applications from students: May 28, 2024
• Interviews: June 11, 2024
Applications must include the form "Candidature_concoursProgrammeSU_Pasteur2024", completed and renamed "NAME PhD supervisor_PI_SU_Pasteur_2024". Project proposals should be submitted first (deadline April 30) to the coordinators (Chahrazade El Amri (chahrazade.el_amri@sorbonne-universite.fr) and Jean-Pierre Vartanian (jean-pierre.vartanian@pasteur.fr) AND to the Sorbonne University Doctoral School to which the PI is affiliated.
Applications from students should then be sent in a second stage, after the proposal has been approved by the doctoral program.
