Save the date for this year's PhD graduation ceremony and look back at the 2022-2023 edition

In 2024, the Institut Pasteur's Department of Education will be holding a PhD graduation ceremony, as it has done every year since 2013, for students who completed their PhD during the academic year preceding the ceremony.

The 12th edition of the graduation ceremony will take place on Friday December 6, 2024, at 3pm.

A lecture will be given by this year's guest of honor, Professor Sir Shankar Balasubramanian, Herchel Smith Professor of Medicinal Chemistry at the University of Cambridge. Professor Balasubramanian is an internationally renowned expert in the field of nucleic acids and the inventor of next-generation DNA sequencing techniques that have in particular revolutionized research on the human genome.

Save the date! All Institut Pasteur staff are invited to attend the ceremony.

A special web page has been created for the 2023 ceremony, where you can see a video of the lecture by guest speaker Dr. Valérie Masson Delmotte, a paleoclimatologist and former member of the IPCC, who featured on TIME's 2022 list of the 100 most influential people in the world. The page also contains photos and videos of the presentations by the PhD graduates and other highlights of the ceremony.
