Bulletin interne de l'Institut Pasteur
86% of Institut Pasteur staff who took part in the Great Place to Work® survey earlier this year are "proud to tell others that they work for the Institut Pasteur". This was one of the major strengths revealed by the survey carried out by the independent organization Great Place to Work®, in which the Institut Pasteur took part this year for the first time. The survey was conducted online from December 16, 2014 to January 19, 2015 to gauge the quality of working life on campus. 53% of Institut Pasteur staff (1,104 people) took part, a high response rate with a good level of representativeness.
More than 57% of those who completed the survey confirmed that overall, the Institut Pasteur is an institution where they enjoy working. But this high figure unfortunately didn't earn us a spot in the list of top workplaces – for that we needed a total of 63%. As a guide, 70% of companies taking part in this survey for the first time, as we did this year, don't make the list of top-rated workplaces in the first year. The Institut Pasteur is one of the very first global research institutes to attempt to secure this honor.
Our many strong points included pride in working for the Institut Pasteur, a good working atmosphere and respect. Credibility and fairness were identified as areas that could be improved.
Several specific initiatives have been launched or are in the planning stages to address those areas identified as requiring progress and to help further strengthen the quality of the working environment on campus.
