Compliance with recycling procedures for electrical and electronic equipment

The Quality, Environment and Sustainable Development Department in the Technical Resources and Environment Department would like to remind you of the Institut Pasteur's firm commitment to introducing and ensuring strict compliance with recycling and disposal guidelines for the waste generated on campus.

The department would particularly like to draw your attention to the procedures for electrical and electronic equipment, after several "household" electronic products were found to have been added to the Institut Pasteur's waste and recycling streams. Electronic waste from coffee machines, kettles or e-cigarettes should be returned to major retail chains (or e-cigarette stores), which have a take-back obligation for these used products.

This type of waste can create real problems for the recycling systems introduced on campus, and each and every one of us is responsible for ensuring compliance with the procedures for disposing of each type of waste.

The Quality, Environment and Sustainable Development Department would like to thank you for taking extra care and vigilance in this area.
