The next Start-up breakfast will be held on Thursday, June, 2024, at 9.00 am in room 11, Pavillon Émile Roux, Institut Pasteur.
The theme will be “Pitch your company: How to prepare your pitch to convince investors” with an invited speaker: David Sourdive, Venture Partner, Elaia and Executive Vice President CMC and Manufacturing & Director, Cellectis.
David Sourdive is a highly specialized expert in technology-based innovation, combining scientific expertise with development skills to bring innovative technologies to industrial fruition.
David brings with him over 20 years of entrepreneurial experience, having successfully taken Cellectis from its inception as a technology concept-based startup to a clinical-stage biopharmaceutical company listed on both NASDAQ and Euronext. Under his leadership, Cellectis has raised over 500 million euros through private investors, IPOs, and follow-on offerings. He also serves on the Board of Directors of Eukaÿs SAS, the strategic board of OmicX SAS, and the Mediterranean Institute of Life Sciences.
Before founding Collectis, David spent several years in industrial program management at the French Defence Department (DGA). He holds a PhD in molecular virology from Institut Pasteur and completed a research fellowship at the Emory University Department of Microbiology and Immunology. He is an alumnus of École Polytechnique.

Participation is free, but registration is required at startup@pasteur.fr to best organize the event according to the number of participants.
The “Startup Breakfast”, a monthly seminar, held at the Institut Pasteur, is designed to introduce you to the various aspects of creating and developing life science companies, and the associated challenges.
