"Beyond the PhD" session: How to get a permanent academic position

On Thursday December 14, the MAASCC welcome, support and career development structure for scientists will be running a conference on recruitment and careers in academic research, featuring speakers who have sat on interview boards or panels and scientists who have recently been recruited as research associates or unit heads:

• Caroline Demangel, Head of Unit, Institut Pasteur

• Guillaume Dumenil, Head of Unit, Institut Pasteur

• Raphaël Etournay, Research Associate, Institut Pasteur

• Bich-Tram Huynh, Research Associate, Institut Pasteur

• Sandie Munier, Lecturer, Paris Diderot University (Paris 7)

• Jane-Lise Samuel, Director of Research, Inserm

This latest session will take place from 4 to 7pm in the Jules Bordet room (ground floor of the Metchnikoff building). It is open to all PhD students and post-doctoral fellows (both OREX and Institut Pasteur staff).
