• New name for the ICAReB-biobank
From January 1, 2025, the ICAReB-biobank (Integrated Collections for Adaptive Research in Biomedicine), led by Emmanuel Roux, will change its name to CHIP (Collections for Human Health of Institut Pasteur).
The tasks of this facility, affiliated with the Institut Pasteur's Biological Resource Center (CRBIP), include the receipt, preparation, characterization, storage and distribution of biological resources of human origin for any units wishing to acquire, prepare and/or conserve such resources.

• Re-establishment of the Cellular Biology of Microbial Infection Unit
Following the favorable opinion issued by the Scientific Council in October 2024, in December 2024 the Board of Governors approved the proposal by the President to re-establish the Cellular Biology of Microbial Infection Unit, keeping the same name, as from January 1, 2025.
This unit within the Department of Cell Biology and Infection will be led by Agathe Subtil.
The unit has been re-established for a ten-year period with an interim assessment by the Scientific Council after a first five-year term.
• Re-establishment of the Arboviruses and Insect Vectors Unit
Following the favorable opinion issued by the Scientific Council in October 2024, in December 2024 the Board of Governors approved the proposal by the President to re-establish the Arboviruses and Insect Vectors Unit, keeping the same name, as from January 1, 2025.
This unit within the Department of Virology will be led by Anna-Bella Failloux.
The unit has been re-established for a ten-year period (unless Anna-Bella Failloux retires beforehand), with an interim assessment by the Scientific Council after a first five-year term.

• Re-establishment of the HIV, Inflammation and Viral Persistences Unit
Following the favorable opinion issued by the Scientific Council in October 2024, in December 2024 the Board of Governors approved the proposal by the President to re-establish the HIV, Inflammation and Persistence Unit, changing its name to HIV, Inflammation and Viral Persistences, as from January 1, 2025.
This unit within the Department of Virology will be led by Michaela Muller-Trutwin.
The unit has been re-established for a ten-year period with an interim assessment by the Scientific Council after a first five-year term.
• Appointment of the Director of the Department of Developmental and Stem Cell Biology
At its meeting on December 11, 2024, the Board of Governors appointed Romain Levayer as Director of the Department of Developmental and Stem Cell Biology from January 1, 2025 to December 31, 2029.
