The Disability Office meets Pasteur teams

The Disability Office is continuing its work to inform and raise awareness on campus with the aim of improving the inclusion of disabled employees.

On Tuesday April 1, the Disability Office came along to the open desk session run by the Biostatistics Hub in the Yersin building to present its work and talk to the teams.

This was a fun and friendly event which also included a solidarity breakfast organized in conjunction with an inclusive and socially active café, Notre Café Marais, which encourages social inclusion and access to work for young adults with autism spectrum disorder.

The initiative took place between two major awareness days: the French National Day for Disability Officers on March 27, and World Autism Awareness Day on April 2. These two days provide an opportunity to emphasize the need to improve understanding and support for disabled people.

Held every March since 2018, the French Day for Disability Officers highlights the essential role these people play. At the Institut Pasteur, the Disability Office is responsible for this task. Its role is to raise awareness and tackle prejudice, and help keep disabled people in employment. It is also in charge of the Institut Pasteur's disability policy, launched in 2023, alongside the DEI, with the aim of strengthening the Institut Pasteur's commitment to improving the inclusion of disabled employees.
