Bulletin interne de l'Institut Pasteur
The Institut Pasteur is delighted to offer all Institut Pasteur staff currently working on campus (employees, Orex, interns and guest researchers) a copy of the book "Institut Pasteur, recherche d'aujourd'hui, médecine de demain"/"Institut Pasteur: Today's Research, Tomorrow's Medicine", published by Editions de La Martinière/Abrams.
This illustrated volume, accessible to readers of all ages and backgrounds, outlines the major challenges and medical issues facing the Institut Pasteur and its International Network. It also pays tribute to the men and women who, inspired by the humanist ideals of Louis Pasteur, work tirelessly, day in, day out, for human health and medical progress (find out more).
Two sessions will be held next Wednesday and Thursday, February 14 and 15, from 8.30am to 4.30pm in the CIS hall for you to pick up your copy. You will need to show your badge. If you are absent for these two days, you can ask one of your colleagues to pick up the book for you, but they will need to show a photocopy of your badge.
The publication of the book "Institut Pasteur, recherche d'aujourd'hui, médecine de demain"/"Institut Pasteur: Today's Research, Tomorrow's Medicine" in November marked the beginning of the Institut Pasteur's celebrations for its 130th anniversary year. 2018 will be a year of festivities to mark this special anniversary. Several events are already under way, such as the "Pasteur, the experimenter" exhibition at the Palais de la découverte - where Maxime Schwartz is the scientific curator - and the inauguration of the installation by Hervé Di Rosa, "In the Pasteur library", in the Salle des Actes at the Pasteur Museum. This special year will also see a number of other events, culminating in the celebrations on November 14, 2018 – 130 years to the day since the Institut Pasteur was officially opened by French President Sadi Carnot.
You will soon be able to enjoy an exhibition of 18 photographs from the book, epitomizing the importance of science and the role played by men and women at the Institut Pasteur, displayed on the railings of the Institut Pasteur campus.
The recent publication of "Institut Pasteur, recherche d'aujourd'hui, médecine de demain"/"Institut Pasteur: Today's Research, Tomorrow's Medicine" got the celebrations off to a fantastic start. Make sure you come along to pick up your copy of the book on February 14 or 15 in the CIS hall.
