Program for Pride Month at the Institut Pasteur: Get your diaries out

The Department for Diversity, Equity and Inclusion, the DEI events group, the Queer Club and StaPa join forces to celebrate pride month with a Pride Month Seminar Series. Three seminars will be held in June: save the dates! The month of June will culminate with the Institut Pasteur's official participation in the Pride March on June 28.

•    « Who Belongs? Anti-LGBTIQ+ discourses, mobilization and politics in France » avec Marianne Blidon, mardi 3 juin à 14h

This talk explores the contemporary dynamics of anti-LGBTIQ+ discourses, mobilizations, and politics in France. Drawing on the European project Resist, we will examine how these discourses are structured and legitimized, notably through the weight of enduring social norms, the injunction to invisibility, and the pervasive rhetoric against so-called "identity politics" or "communitarianism." These elements are not isolated but are embedded within broader ideological, historical, and institutional frameworks that continue to shape public debate. We will also highlight the multiple forms of resistance and counter-mobilization that are emerging in response, from grassroots activism to legal and political advocacy. Ultimately, this intervention aims to offer critical tools for understanding both the persistence of anti-LGBTIQ+ mobilization and the resistance of those who confront it.
