"May by Bike" 2025: a first challenge successfully met by the Institut Pasteur!

For its first time participating in the French "May by Bike" challenge, the Institut Pasteur certainly pedaled hard! Thanks to the efforts of all staff members, the Institut Pasteur finished in 132nd position out of 951 companies with more than 500 employees, covering a total of 10,318km by bike over the month of May.
 
This was a highly commendable collective performance for a first-time participation.

 

Internal ranking and key figures

•    115 participants joined the Pasteur team

•    Up to 31 active members (27%) recorded their bike rides on a daily basis

•    Of these, 20 people (17%) commuted between work and home by bicycle

•    The result was more than 10,300 kilometers covered – for our health, for the planet... and for our pure enjoyment!

Positive environmental impact

 

The staff who used their bike to travel from home to work prevented several kilograms of CO₂ equivalent being emitted into the atmosphere – an extra boost to help us reduce our daily carbon footprint.
