On June 20, many of you took advantage of the vibrant party atmosphere as the Institut Pasteur campus turned into a buzzing festival for the afternoon!
Whether you were taking part or simply soaking up the atmosphere, you were all given festival-style wristbands and invited to enjoy the performances specially prepared by your colleagues from La Pasteurale, the Sports Club and the choir, with the festivities kicking off at 12 noon. After a rousing opening number from the brass band and a spectacular African dance performance, the atrium in the François Jacob Center was the perfect setting for a colorful, highly original showcase of theater, dance, song and music that was much appreciated by Institut Pasteur President Yasmine Belkaid, who came along to take part in this enjoyable staff event.
From 2pm, lots of you attended the various workshops organized to help get your creative juices flowing. Guided by the "Music and Meetings" coaches, you were given a choice between:
• a singing workshop
• an instrumental workshop (violin or percussion)
• a choreography workshop
Then from 2.30 to 8.30pm, the campus came to life with an unprecedented music festival featuring no fewer than eight different acts:
• The Standards
• Billie and the... What?!
• Data not shown
• Yaëlle
• From far away
• The Almost
• Pardon my French
• Sandream
As an interlude to this fabulous line-up, some of you took part in a collective performance based on the workshops, presenting a wonderfully catchy medley involving percussion, violin, dance and singing. It was a genuine team effort to produce a unique artistic performance!
Food stands were available to offer some tasty refreshments alongside the musical and artistic highlights. Crêpes, bubble tea, waffles, milkshakes, acai bowls, mocktails, beer and bagels – there was plenty to treat your tastebuds throughout the event.
While walking between the various stands, staff were also encouraged to visit the greenhouse, where the art section had put on a display of the artworks produced this year:

After the afternoon festivities at the Institut Pasteur, the celebrations for World Music Day continued the next day, just a stone's throw from campus. On Saturday June 21, groups from the Institut Pasteur and the Institut Curie put on a series of open-air concerts on Boulevard Pasteur from 6 to 11pm.
The line-up featured The Standards, Billie and the... What?!, Real Mermelada and Sandream, and there was also a jam session.
This Pasteurian rock concert was a hit with those who came along to listen on World Music Day and celebrate the arrival of summer.
