Procedure for introducing CIFRE contracts at the Institut Pasteur

The CIFRE scheme (Industrial Agreements for Training Through Research) offers co-funding for companies willing to recruit PhD students for a specific research project in line with their R&D strategy. This company-based placement serves as a platform for the student to complete his or her PhD thesis.

The research project is carried out in collaboration with a research laboratory, in this case at the Institut Pasteur, which is responsible for providing scientific supervision.

Each CIFRE is concluded between the French National Association for Research and Technology (ANRT) and the company for a maximum period of 36 months. The CIFRE lays down the arrangements for the allocation of funding and the distribution of the PhD student's time at the company and the research laboratory.

PhD students recruited under the CIFRE scheme are hosted at the Institut Pasteur as OREX staff.
