Idmit: official opening of a new biology and health research infrastructure specializing in human infectious diseases and immunology

On June 26, 2018, the Idmit infrastructure was officially opened. Idmit brings together six organizations and companies involved in research and technological development to combat infectious diseases in humans. The CEA, the Institut Pasteur, Paris-Sud University, Inserm, the ANRS and the company Oncodesign are contributing to the French research landscape with this infrastructure composed of globally competitive teams and equipment. The aim of Idmit is to facilitate and speed up the transfer of preclinical research findings obtained in non-human primates, paving the way for therapeutic or prophylactic approaches that can be tested in clinical trials in humans. Idmit is housed on the Fontenay-aux-Roses site of the CEA's Paris-Saclay center.
