130TH ANNIVERSARY

New exhibition on the campus railings

A few days before the international conference on global health, held on November 13 as the culmination of the Institut Pasteur's 130th anniversary festivities, the railings of the Paris campus were once again turned into an open-air gallery for a photo exhibition. This new exhibition, featuring a selection of people and colorful images of microorganisms, offers a glimpse of the individuals involved in the Institut Pasteur's research today.

The new photo series is mainly based on the images contained in the 2017 Institut Pasteur Annual Report. It showcases the determination and perseverance of scientists in the Institut Pasteur and the Institut Pasteur International Network. As they move from one side of the street to the other, passers-by can admire the photos and reflect on the themes of "research", "react", "reaffirm" and "regenerate", which aptly set the tone.

The new exhibition is composed of a series of paired images, with each picture of a scientist in action accompanied by an image of a microorganism. It also integrates the NanoImaging Initiative, launched in conjunction with the arrival of the Titan KriosTM, and the new Omics buildings, inaugurated in September. And the all-important Institut Pasteur International Network is of course well represented.

This photo collection takes observers on a new journey to the heart of Pasteurian science, which draws inspiration from 130 years of history while remaining firmly focused on the future!
