Surveys on the use of chemicals in laboratories

The Risk Prevention Department would like to announce that two surveys will shortly be launched on handling chemicals:

• On December 10, a survey will be launched on the use of chemicals in biosafety cabinets.

The Institut Pasteur senior management has decided to conduct this survey in response to a request from the Greater Paris Regional Health Insurance Fund. The aim is to draw up an inventory of all the chemicals handled in biosafety cabinets, especially those that generate vapors, and to carry out risk assessments.

• On December 15, as part of the campaign to update the "Single Document", a survey will be launched on the use of nanomaterials.

The aim is to establish a clear picture of the nanomaterials used at the Institut Pasteur and to enable the Risk Prevention Department to identify the teams concerned and support them in implementing preventive methods.

The questionnaires will be distributed by heads of unit and/or health and safety officers.

The Risk Prevention Department would like to thank you in advance for completing these questionnaires, which will be used to improve risk prevention.
