New technological platforms set up

  • Creation of the Nanoimaging Technological Platform

The Nanoimaging (Nanoimagerie) Technological Platform was set up on December 14, 2018 within the Center for Technological Resources and Research (C2RT).

This technological platform, also affiliated with the Structural Biology and Chemistry Department, will be directed by Matthijn Vos, an expert research engineer at the Institut Pasteur. Dorit Hanein, Professor at the Institut Pasteur, will oversee the scientific aspects.

  • Creation of the Biomics Technological Platform

The Biomics Pole (021120), directed by Marc Monot, will be renamed Biomics Technological Platform on January 1, 2019.

Platform 1 – Genomics (024391) and Platform 2 – Transcriptome and EpiGenome (024393) will be closed on January 1, 2019.

  • Creation of the Production and Purification of Recombinant Proteins Technological Platform

The Production and Purification of Recombinant Proteins (Production et purification de protéines recombinantes) Technological Platform will be set up on January 1, 2019 within the Center for Technological Resources and Research (C2RT).

This technological platform replaces the Recombinant Proteins Platform (024298), which was composed of two sub-platforms, the Recombinant Proteins in Prokaryotic Cells Platform (PFFR-P) directed by Jacques Bellalou, and the Recombinant Proteins in Eukaryotic Cells Platform (PFFPR-E) directed by Stéphane Petres.

The new technological platform, also affiliated with the Structural Biology and Chemistry Department, will be directed by Stéphane Petres, an expert research engineer at the Institut Pasteur. Jacques Bellalou, also an expert research engineer at the Institut Pasteur, will be deputy director of the platform until his retirement.
