Call for applications for the Institut Pasteur Chairs of Excellence

The Institut Pasteur is issuing a second call for applications for its Chairs of Excellence. The aim of these chairs is to recognize the excellence of the research carried out by the Institut Pasteur's scientists in their given category and their commitment to the Institut Pasteur's key missions:

  • Teaching

  • Translational research

  • Public health

  • Involvement in the Institut Pasteur International Network

  • Technology transfer and industrial partnerships

  • Raising awareness among the general public

  • Involvement in major transversal research programs

  • Fundraising

 

There are three levels of chair:

  • Louis Pasteur Chairs, for professors. Holders of a Louis Pasteur Chair will receive an annual stipend of €20,000 (gross).

  • Elie Metchnikoff Chairs, for heads of research structures. Holders of an Elie Metchnikoff Chair receive an annual stipend of €15,000 (gross).

  • Charles Nicolle Chairs, for scientists that do not head a research structure. Holders of a Charles Nicolle Chair will receive an annual stipend of €10,000 (gross).

 

Scientists interested in this call should submit their application via the form available for download on the Scientific Careers Department page on Webcampus.

 

Eligibility:

  • OREX scientists may apply, but their home institution must agree to the award of a chair.

  • Scientists that have been awarded an ERC contract may apply.

  • Candidates must have at least two years of experience in an Institut Pasteur entity.
