Bulletin interne de l'Institut Pasteur
In parallel with the celebration of the Institut Pasteur's 130th anniversary, an exhibition about Louis Pasteur was held at the Palais de la Découverte in Paris from December 2017 to August 2018.
The exhibition, curated by Universcience in collaboration with the Institut Pasteur, looked at Louis Pasteur's career – his many and varied research fields, his talent as an experimenter and also his links with art, technology and industry – and shed light on events and figures that had long remained in the shadows https://www.pasteur.fr/fr/journal-recherche/actualites/expo-decouverte-pasteur-experimentateur.
The exhibition drew on theatrical imagery – it was divided into several "acts," each illustrating one of Pasteur's main scientific periods. It used films, interactive displays, reconstructions, animated models and "optical theaters" to tell Pasteur's story and showcase the achievements he made with his fellow scientists.
The intention was always for the exhibition to travel, reflecting Louis Pasteur's commitment to spreading knowledge around the world. It is currently on display in São Paulo, Brazil, since February.
