Pascale Cossart elected Permanent Secretary of the French Academy of Sciences

On July 20, Pascale Cossart, a member of the French Academy of Sciences since 2002, Head of the Bacteria-Cell Interactions Unit (Inserm U604, INRA USC2020) and a professor at the Institut Pasteur, was elected Permanent Secretary of the French Academy of Sciences for chemical, biological and medical sciences and their applications.

On January 1, 2016, she will take over this post from Jean-François Bach, who has been in office since January 2006.
