Air samples to measure asbestos dust

The Institut Pasteur conducts regular inspections of materials that may contain asbestos, involving visual monitoring of some areas on campus. This preventive measure is carried out by the Technical Department to ensure the complete safety of the working environment for staff.

As part of these inspections, dust measurements were taken in mid-July by the Technical Department in the following buildings: annex 8, Pasteur BioTop, Medical Center, CIS, André Lwoff, Henri Darré, Amédée Borrel, Albert Calmette, Jacques Monod and Auguste Fernbach.

There was no asbestos dust in any of the samples taken. Dust measurements will be taken at regular intervals to that these results do not change.
