Have you been asked to draw up a Data Management Plan (DMP) without actually knowing what one is? Have you found yourself wondering how a DMP might be useful for you? Or have you had difficulties answering the questions you need to cover in a DMP? This session is for you!
The Scientific Information Resources Center (CeRIS) will show you how to produce a data management plan (DMP), a document often required by funding bodies such as the ANR and the European Commission, which sets out details about how you plan to manage your research data during your project. You will find out how DMPs can be a valuable tool throughout the research process and learn some helpful data management best practices. Finally, the training session will show you how to use two tools to draw up your DMP collaboratively: DMP OPIDoR and REDCap.
Aims of the training:
• Familiarize yourself with the aims of a DMP
• Clarify the questions that you need to address in a DMP
• Learn about data management best practices
• Learn how to use two tools to draw up a DMP collaboratively
The training session is aimed at scientists, engineers, post-doctoral fellows and project managers who may need to produce a DMP for their research project.
It will take place remotely (via Microsoft Teams) in French.

In its Strategic Plan, the Institut Pasteur supports open science, with the target of making all of its publications open access from 2021. This policy is in line with the demands of major research programs and the French National Plan for Open Science. Starting this year, the COMESP now includes the submission of publications to the HAL-Pasteur open archive in its appraisal policy.
Find out more with the CeRIS, from the issues surrounding these policies to the practical procedures for submitting articles.
Aims of the training:
• Understand the international open access movement and the role of open archives
• Find out about the open access policies of funding bodies and the policies pursued by France and the Institut Pasteur
• Learn how to submit your articles to the HAL-Pasteur open archive
• Manage your digital identity as a scientist in HAL with your IdHAL
The session is open to all.
It will take place remotely (via Microsoft Teams) in French.
