CORONAVIRUS

COVID-19: Impact of the curfew and obligation to record remote working in the HR portal

Following the new restrictions announced on Wednesday October 14 by French President Emmanuel Macron, the PBRP Committee would like to inform you that two new measures have been adopted:

1/ In application of the curfew in the Greater Paris region between 9pm and 6am:

We would ask all employees to plan to leave campus by 8pm at the latest, or earlier depending on the length of their return journey home.

Certificates will be provided in exceptional circumstances and only to staff whose work requires them to be on campus between 8pm and 6am (for example on-call staff, the Central Animal Facility, the CNRs, the CIBU, etc.). The Human Resources Department will conduct a survey to determine which staff are concerned.

2/ Obligation to record remote working in the HR portal:

Working from home (for a minimum of 2 days and up to 4 days a week for those roles that can be performed remotely) must become a priority to reduce the number of people on site on a daily basis and limit the risk of the virus spreading on campus. This includes staff working in research units and platforms.

To provide the senior management team with a general overview for all teams of how many people are working on campus and from home at any one time, we are asking all employees to fill in their weekly remote working days in the HR portal by selecting "télétravail en situation exceptionnelle" (home working in exceptional circumstances), until the end of November. This requirement is in addition to the usual procedure of recording other absences (paid leave, additional leave (ARTT), etc.) in the HR portal.

Dates for working from home should be agreed with your manager, who can then approve all your requests in one go. But please note that if any changes occur during this period you will still be able to make amendments in the HR portal as necessary.

We would remind you that meetings should be held on a remote basis via Teams if at all possible. Lecture halls may only be used if permission is requested in advance by contacting PRPA-science@pasteur.fr. A guide to the main requirements and guidelines for booking and using lecture halls is currently being prepared and will be sent out soon.

The priority for us all must be to protect both ourselves and our work colleagues, especially by observing hygiene and distancing measures.

Thank you for your support and your compliance with all the measures adopted by the PBRP Committee.

Kind regards,

The PBRP Committee

PS: A reminder of the two mail addresses to use for any question about PBRP measures:

2. PRPA-science@pasteur.fr: for specific questions related to science and laboratories, as well as requests for permission to use lecture halls and auditoriums.
