Upcoming "Creating your own company" session on December 6

Every month, the Education Department, the MAASCC welcome and support structure for contract researchers and the Research Applications and Industrial Relations Department run an event offering scientists interested in business development the chance to meet a leading figure and entrepreneur in the area of biotechnology. The aim is to encourage those interested in setting up their own company.

This event, entitled "Creating your own company", takes the form of a breakfast meeting on the first Tuesday of each month.

The next session will take place on Tuesday December 6, 2016, from 8.30 to 10.30am in room 2, floor 2, Emile Duclaux building. The speaker will be Fabien Guillemot.

Fabien Guillemot is the founder and CEO and of Poietis, a biotech start-up dedicated to laser-assisted bioprinting of human tissues, created at the end of 2015.

Fabien Guillemot has an extensive experience in research: after a training in chemistry and material sciences, Fabien Guillemot worked 11 years in a research unit dedicated to 3D impression and recently decided to create his own company. After raising more than € 2.5 million, Poietis has already signed a partnership with L’Oreal on hair bioprinting and pursues its development on liver bioconstruction.
